To accurately measure the movement of the limbs and other parts of the InMoov Robot it is important to remove the Poteniometer from some of the servos to relocate it externally.
To do this the easiest way is to de-solder the motor from the board inside the servo. HiTech uses a lot of glue to hold the motor in place. Trying to force the motor free typically results in broken boards.
I used a hi-temp solder gun and a solder sucker to accomplish this. Below are a few photos showing this.
